Well, I'm hanging tough! not really reaching out but not ignoring my phone either :) things are ok for me. I've been running good, and my birthday is 6/8 !!! I'm actually gonna be spending this one out of the truck :) gonna visit family and friends in CT. Really looking forward to it!
I'm on my way to NY to deliver in the morning. got 2 stops, one on LI and the other in the city. Guess I'll be having lots of FUN!!!
I worked for Werner for 3 1/2 years. I will not bad mouth them as many do. Things were good and or ok for a long time. Then they went south fast. I stayed with them for 7 months hoping and waiting for things to get better. Gave the DM I had for 2 yrs, 4 months to try and get things better before I changed DM's. Gave that on 2 months and he left the company and I got a new one. Gave him a month. Finally starving to death out on the road, as they would only give me 1000 to 1500 miles a week. I had depleated all my savings, maxed out the credit cards, robbed Peter to ay Paul( well Pete went broke and Paul still had his hand out) so I changed companies. The company I went to started me out with a 6 cent per mile raise from what werner paid me and I am running again!!! Soon I hope to be able to say my bills are all caught up again and dare I think about having a little put away for the next rainy day, not yet but it's a happy thought!
The last DM I had at Werner told me if I don't like my job I should find something else to do.
The thing is I LOVE my job, I just got to the point I didn't like not being able to do it. If I wanted to sit around all day and do nothing, I could do that at home on the couch in front of the tv watching soaps and eating bon bons.
