alright well i've been back to L.A then to pheniox and had to do a 34hr reset in 111 degree heat ugh. then d.h to S.L.C for a load with 3 stops in washington, close but no cigar, YET. man I'd love to get a chance to layover by the house even just for a night. But we are trying to get back to Brooks so I can bee tested out on Friday. I'll have to let you all know how that goes. Keep your fingers crossed!!!!
Day two was busy drive test skills test and paperwork, class time. day three was long and boring sitting in a class room allday but I did learn a few things on the log books that i was wondering about. that and getting issuded some basic equipment like padalock, logbook, co manual, hazmat books, a camera for accident scenes ect. now it's just a waiting game for one piece of paper from usis to show my mvr and i am ready to go. I realy don't want to be sitting over the weekend, and have to wait untill monday before getting assigned to a trainer....

Well the first day is done and I'm still here, paperwork, pee in a cup, more paperwork, drive test, skill test... WHEEW busy times then wait for the next step. Now to wait and see what tomarrow brings, but I took a walk down the street to the safeway at the end of the block and picked up some stuff for dinner(room has micro, refer) then I changed and went down to the hot tub and pool, soaked off some of the days' stress and did some laps in the pool. Gonna head to bed soon gotta get up at six and be fed and ready to go before 7:40, with the plus of having to move out of our rooms and be reassined new rooms when we get back, what a pain, but it could possably work to our advantage ie the king jacuzzi suite? hope, hope well that all to report today night all
So I sitting in a hotel in Salem,or and orentation starts in the morning. The train ride was uneventful except that Amtrack lost one of my pillows..AAAARRRRGGGG.  And that I had to wait at the train station for almost an hour before being picked up.... But i'm thinking that the hotel stay MAY just make up for it. Nice place, it's called the Keizer rennance or used to be known as the Wittenberg Inn, Pool,Hot tub, Weight room decent goodies not bad not bad at all...
Well I amleaving in a few hours to catch a train to Salem, Or to orentation with May Trucking. Why May you ask? Well they where the only ones that realy talked to me and I had applied to quite a few just before I passed my test.. I was even talking to a few before I even started school. here is the results. Watkins & Sheppard I had to take the full 160 hr class, I only could get funding for 48 hr Refersher courese and I couldn't get the funding for their school. Schnieder: I live outside their hireing ares at this time. Swift: not a chance!!! There is a long list of Company's that I did apply to but never heard from, and I see it as their loss...

YEAH.... I passed my skills test.... I'm already setup for Orentation at May Trucking next week. Now I just have to finish some honey-do's and try and figure out how I'm going to eat untill the pay starts. i'm not looking fordward to being away from my family for extended peroids of time, but it's neccary at this time to try and make ends meet, and right now their way short of meeting......

Well lastnight was one of those nights where nothing I did went right. New Instructor, new truck and my driving was teriable, I couldn't shift worth a damn, couldn't corner without rushing and made my instructer nervous, he was thinking that I was deslexic. My driving sucked bad!!!! BUT today I was Golden I could almost do no wrong, I did mess up on a few shifts but was able to recover and keep going I also was able to see several potental safety issues with care parked on the side of the road and was able to avoid them with out any issues. Now I am felling ready to take the state skills test next week. I'll work on keeping this updated and let everyone know what happens. Have a GREAT Holiday week end!!!
Well lastnight we( as a class) worked on pretrip and coupling-uncoupling. tonight I drove just me and an Instructor for about 2 1/2 hours. Plus time in the yard going over the pre-trip inspection as the state wants to see, and working on backing in to the hole at a 45 degree angle, I know that for some of you reading this these seem like simple things, but for someone that is relearning after 15 years it takes a little time and practice. Over all tonight wasn't bad at all, I was a little nervous about driving through and around town in traffic, but I didn't kill anyone or squish any cars, made some nervous but didn't crunch any.
