My mother gave me a dose (spoonful) of turpentine and sugar for the croup, when I was small....along with it came a hot mustard plaster on my chest. She would also make our cough syrup: One slice of onion, spread with sugar, do this so its stacked high about 8 inches in a bowl, then weigh the top down with a saucer over night...often with a sadiron on top of the saucer...then the next day the juice which was pressed out was given a teaspoon for a cough syrup to soothe the throat...the remainder... I know Just a few months ago I was praising my Job and the postoffice but as of the last few weeks I want to scream. As everyone probly Knows Stamps have gone up. Alrighty then. It been a week, I went to D.O.L and took the tests that I needed to get my Permit, D's uh. nothing that I didn't already know, but I have to go by their rules and go through the motions, but in the end I got the permit so I can start driving on tuesday, as monday is pretrip day. but all in all it hasn't been to bad at all.
