I'm an artist based in Los Angeles and am working on a video project related to trucking that will be exhibited this summer in Berlin, Germany. I have been researching issues related to transportation and trade and would really like to meet truckers and hear first-hand perspectives on these issues. Mostly when the public hears about issues in the news it is filtered through the experience of people who don't actually have first hand experience about the issues. This is why I'm hoping to include interviews in my video. Do you have suggestions of how I might get in touch with drivers who might be interested in sharing their experiences as truckers for this kind of project? Or do you know someone in the L.A. area who could help me with facilitating these interviews?
