exercise

everybody who drives for a living can beneifit from exercise when on the road. you can do standing pushups against the wall of your sleeper, you can do small weights while going down the road. i have a stair stepper on board, i have a thigh master on board, i have a couple of 15lb. weights and a curling bar on board, i have a spring bar on board and i walk my dogs at least a mile a day. you can also say no to the buffets at the truck stops. that stuff will get you fat in no time as if we don't struggle enough with our weight when driving a truck.

never were sweat pants for driving. they always fit loose and you will eat until they fit tight.

drinks lots of water and leave the pop alone. you will feel more refreshed and you won't be packing so much sugar into your body.

eat as much fibre as you can. if you can read the paper when you go to the can in the morning chances are you are'nt getting enough fibre. 2 minutes tops, conduct your business,do the paper work and bing bang boom your done.

walking a lot will put a bit of spring in your step and keep your blood circulation working in your legs. the last thing we want is to be a candadate for a viagra commercial.

most important of all is that we actually do some exersize and not just keep the stuff in the truck collecting dust. if you take off your shirt and you look down and your belly smiles at you chances are you could use some exersize.

hard work is hard work ,not to be confused with exersize. nobody ever died from hard work , but exersize is the key to feeling good, sleeping good and staying healthy.

Thank you for the input and joining the group. Our industry is in dire need of healthy tips, attitudes and goals. I would appreciate any health tips you have about eating properly on the road as well. With all the waiting time we encounter there seems to be plenty of time for excercise if we have the energy. To have the energy we need to eat right.
