You know, I read last monday that President Bush named last week "national transportation week", siting a need to recognize those of us in the transportation industry, and the job that we all do to keep this country running. The amazing thing is, I read that article on monday,may 12. The very next day, the DOT officers of the Ohio State Highway Patrol hit us here in Ohio hard and didn't really let up until friday. They pulled over just about every truck that they could get their hands on. I even heard guys on the radio saying that one of the officers said to a driver that he would find something wrong and that the driver wasn't going to leave there without pulling some money out of his pocket(in form of a ticket I presume). Nothin says lovin' like a fat ticket on the week that we are supposed to be recognized for the job that we do. Gotta love Ohio!!
